STORY

Kia ora, my name is Simon Fuchs. My family and I have been living on the Tutukaka Coast since 2019. I was originally born and raised in Switzerland where I found my calling in stonework.

 

During my first apprenticeship in construction, I gained skills and experience in small and large concrete building projects. After completing the apprenticeship in constructional building successfully.

Following the completion of this apprenticeship, I developed a special interest in stone work,which led me to complete my qualification in stone masonry in 2002. Following this, and now for over 20 years, I have worked as a qualified stone mason in Switzerland and New Zealand.

 

My experience and skills cover all areas of masonry including  bricklaying, plastering, drainage, concrete formwork, tileing and more. My interest utilizing traditional stonework techniques in modern architecture to enhance indoor and outdoor spaces.
